Skin-Loving Botanicals That Elevate Every Batch

Skin-Loving Botanicals That Elevate Every Batch

I Love Nature Series - 2

In my skincare creations, I reach for botanicals not just because they sound lovely—but because they do lovely things. These plant-powered ingredients bring beauty, comfort, and purpose to every formula. I love enhancing my formulations with some of these and some formulations like Velutta, for example, I use four of them, actually lol - Aloe Vera Juice, Colloidal Oats, Green Tea, and Chamomile. If you have ever used any of them, you know what I'm talking about...the nourishment, hydration, softness, fresh feeling, radiant skin and glow. So, I've decided to, in a very short way, no going around and round because nowadays I understand that each and everyone of us live such busy lives. Then you came to the right place because I know this reading will take just a few minutes of your time. Here are five of my favorite allies:

1. Colloidal Oats

  • Gentle and soothing for sensitive or reactive skin

  • Adds a creamy texture with a soft glide

  • Known for calming irritation and supporting the skin barrier

2. Calendula

  • Healing, anti-inflammatory, and skin-rejuvenating

  • Visually beautiful when suspended in oils or soap

  • A starring player in my calendula oil collection

3. Aloe Vera

  • Hydrating without heaviness

  • Naturally cooling and great for delicate areas

  • Offers a light humectant effect in rinse-off products

4. Chamomile

  • Calming and anti-redness powerhouse

  • Soothes both skin and senses with its gentle floral aroma

  • Ideal for facial cleansers, baby formulations, and sensitive body products

5. Green Tea

  • Rich in antioxidants and skin-protective polyphenols

  • Helps combat signs of aging and pollution stress

  • Gives formulations a fresh, slightly grassy herbal note
