What does Fall mean to you?
Fall at Haven Bliss: A Season of Soft Return
The air turns crisp at the edges of the day. The breeze begins its quiet ritual—dancing through trees, carrying leaves like whispered farewells. Slowly, we shift. Sleeves lengthen, even if our legs still linger in summer’s memory. It’s a season of introspection by nature. Everything softens, quiets, prepares.
Fall invites us to pause. To reflect on the summer that rushed past—too fast, I know—for many of us. It’s a time to care for our skin more consciously, to honor the joy we lived and the sun we soaked in. That’s why I added green tea to our fall lotions. It’s not just an ingredient—it’s a gentle shield. A way to say, “I see what you’ve been through. Let me help you recover.”
This season, we lean into comfort. Into warmth. Into blends that feel like breath and memory. Welcome to fall at Haven Bliss—where every bottle is a ritual, and every scent is a soft return.
For Me Personally -
The Shift Within: When Seasons Shape Us
Have you ever felt like you have multiple personalities that shift with the seasons? I know—it sounds a little wild. But I swear, I feel it. Maybe not four distinct selves, but at least two. I’m naturally bubbly. I don’t meet strangers—I greet everyone with a smile that sometimes reaches my eyes before it even touches my lips.
But in the second half of the year, something changes. I’m still me, but there’s a stillness. A quieting. Almost like a ritual. Maybe it’s because we’re not constantly outside, always on the go. We’re invited to sit, pause, breathe, and think.
People often wait until the end of the year to reflect and make resolutions. But I believe fall is the true season of renewal. Just like Scripture reminds us to make all things new—to remove the old and make room for the new in Christ. “And no one pours new wine into old wineskins…” (Mark 2:22). It makes sense. The old leather can’t withstand the fermentation of the new—it bursts.
Even in the mundane, I see it. I’m a craft person (too many projects, if I’m being honest 😂). Sometimes I want to repurpose a piece in my wardrobe, but I know the fabric isn’t strong enough anymore. If I attach something brand new to that worn spot, it might not last. That’s a life lesson, too. Renewal requires release.
Pre-Fall: The Quiet Becoming
For me, the shift begins before fall even arrives. I call it pre-fall—the months that stir something deep before the leaves even turn.
Last year, my pre-fall change was leaving a job of 14 years. Those feathers needed to shed so I could heal and renew what was hurting me.
This year? Haven Bliss was born. Oooff. This one… I’m still in awe. It feels surreal. Tender. Sacred.
But the truth remains: when fall approaches, something in me shifts. And maybe that’s the beauty of it. Not just the season outside—but the season within.
An Invitation to Reflect
As the season shifts, maybe you feel something stirring too. A quiet nudge. A longing to pause. To shed what no longer fits and make space for what’s being born in you.
I invite you to reflect: What are you releasing this fall? What comfort are you leaning into? What new thing is quietly asking to be welcomed?
Whether it’s a change in rhythm, a shift in spirit, or simply a new scent on your skin—may this season meet you with grace.
Closing Thoughts
This is the first of three reflections I’ll be sharing this Fall. Each one will explore the emotional arc of the season, the rituals we create, and the scents that carry us through.
Thank you for being here—for reading, for feeling, for journeying with me. Haven Bliss is more than skincare. It’s a space for comfort, renewal, and soulful connection.
Until next time, Elaine
